Hollywood Looks for another Hong Kong Hit

Warner Bros' "The Departed" won an Oscar for its remake of the Hong Kong thriller "Internal Affairs."

The filmmaker hopes to do it again with "Confession of Pain" a Hong Kong Media Asia film company.

The movie is about a Hong Kong police officer who avenges the murder of his family by earning the trust of the killer after marrying his daughter. Yikes!

Warner Bros hired a Hollywood producer and a production company owned by DiCaprio. (There's a reason to not see the movie…DiCaprio.)

"The Departed" was the first movie to be based on a foreign film to win four or more Oscars.

Generally…winning an Oscar is a good reason to NOT see a movie.

Though I admit seeing and enjoying "The Departed." Maybe, Hong Kong has something else to offer Hollywood.
