Happy Birthday Confucius – 2,559 Years Old

Confucius would be 2,559 years old, IF, he were still alive. His birthday was August 31.
Kids not knowing he he was or what he taught were gathered in China to recite famous Confucian saying. High schoolers dressed up and rang bells…and a good time was had…I reckon.
The service was also used to express respect for teachers a day before the new school year started.
I have a favorite Confucius quote – “Find a job you love to do and you never have to work a day in your life.”
