When I read about this unfortunate young ladey, I recalled a Born Loser cartoon from ages ago.

The Born Loser had a disease and was sitting for a consultation from the doctor.

The Doc said, "I have good news and bad news for you."

BL, "Give me the bad news first."

Doc, "You have a disease we have never seen before and for which we have no cure."

BL, "Wow, that is bad news. So, then, what's the good news?"

Doc, "We are going to

name it after you."

There's a 23-year old girl in China who is suffering from an unknown disease which she contracted when she was seven. It causes her legs to grow and grow and grow…not longer, but fatter. The widest part is now 70cm (27.6") even though the rest of her body is a normal petite Chinese size.

There is no good news.
