Gold Plated Turtles – Some Chinese Have Too Much Money

You know people have too much money when they are willing to pay nine times the going rate to buy a gold-plated turtle.
What's more, who in the dickens came up with the plan –
"Hey, let's paint these little fellows gold and hang them upside down and see if we can't get more money for them?"
I mean, seriously….how DO people come up with such ideas?
And, what's the turtle think about all this?
"Eat your hearts out guys. I am golden."
"Yeah, but you will still end up in the soup like the rest of us."
What next, painting the lining of their shells silver to match?
