Going for a Walk…me and my IV or How to Make More Bed Space in a Hospital
In some parts of China Parents Spend the Night on the Floor So Their Children Can See a Doctor.
In another part of China, some clinics have found a partial solution.
They send their patients out to walk the streets while the IV is still attached!
Patients in Zhijin town, Guizhou province can go about their business, shopping, paying bills and other errands while the drip, drip, drip continues.
It's not clear whether the clinics are doing it for the patients or because the clinics are
competing for more business by giving, um, better service.
When the IV infusion is finished…patients take the needles out themselves.
Now, THAT, would never happen in the west. Or would it?
