Get ‘em While They Are Cheap

How many companies have invested or own American companies?

According to Todd M. Malan, president of the Organization for International Investment, a Washington Lobby for U.S. subsidiaries of foreign-based companies…the count is zero, nil, nada, ling, none.

However, another list compiled by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Washington says it is two. Haier, www.haieramerica.com  ( I own one of their little tiny wash machines. It sings Jingle bells whenever the spin cycle is finished, no matter what time of year…really.) is one. They recently failed in an attempted buyout of Maytag, www.maytag.com  remember the loneliest guy in the world?

The other company is the Lenovo Group, www.lenovo.com/us/en  which just recently bought IBM’s PC division.

I don’t t think China is going to stop their investing and buying with these two companies.

What do you think?
