Flying Dragon Dinosaur Bone Soup

I have had bone soup before….when I was in Russia during the Soviet Union era. There wasn't enough food to eat so the place where I stayed took chicken bones and boiled them to get as much flavor out of them as possible.

Then we drank the soup and sucked on the bones. That was it for the meals that day.

Great way to lose weight…about 20lbs in 7 weeks if I remember correctly.

In Henan province, villagers are enjoying boiled dinosaur bone soup. The bones are also ground up into powder and taken as traditional medicine, believing the bones were from flying dinosaurs.dinosaur.bone.jpg

And, they wonder why TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) doesn't catch on in the west.

The bones can be purchased for about 25 cents a pound.

The bones are rich in calcium, duh….and the powder is used to treat dizziness and cramps and is applied directly to fractures and other injuries.

A professor at the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and

Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences is in the area having recently discovered a 60-foot-long plant eating dinosaur (more healthy than the meat eating kind, in case you are wondering.)

The prof purchased 400lbs of bones for study.

Gee, if only we could fly after drinking the soup…

Do you believe in flying dinosaurs?
