Fashion Tips for Policemen and Policewomen
I always had to be told what I could and couldn't wear when I was growing up. But now, I can wear anything I want, as long as my wife says it's okay.
Chinese policemen and women apparently need to be told what is acceptable and what is not as well.
Men:
1. No long or curly hair.
2. No sideburns
3. No shaved heads
4. No beards
Women can do none of the above nor are they permitted to:
1. wear scarfs
2. wear jewellery
3. paint their nails
4. colorfully dye their hair
5. have hair longer than
shoulder length
6. wear colored glasses.
The police boys and girls cannot smoke in public, enter places of entertainment (except for work) while in uniform. (no more free dim sum!)
The Ministry of Public Security issued the order to "establish a good image for the people's police."
