Every 10 minutes, bribery case investigated

For the first six months of the year investigators handled a bribery case, every 10 minutes, 24/7 = 24,879 cases in total.

Of those bribery cases, 22% involved government officials.

Beijing says the government is working overtime to deal harshly with major and serious commercial bribery cases – those closely related to people's interest and those that severely damage market order.

Laws are being created – some 125 of them against bribery

so as to provide a more solid legal foundation for fighting the crime.bribery.china.jpg

You have to know what's wrong before you know did.

It's kind of like the old Bible writer, it's when he first read the law that he found out which ones he was breaking.

China asks media and public to monitor and report bribery cases.

In some countries, if it weren't for bribes, nothing would get done.

China doesn't want to be one of them.
