Confession Good for 1,790 Chinese Official Souls

The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the Communist Party of China put out some regulations targeting corrupt officials, specifically those who traded their power for money.
IF…they confessed their crimes during the month of June, they were promised leniency.
In one month, 1,790 people voluntarily confessed their sins, their cheating ways, their thievery to the tune of 77.89 million yuan ($10+ million.)
Some of the wrongdoers made good on their misdeeds,
others are still being investigated to ensure they are clean from head to toe.
Those who did not confess will be severely punished = lethal injection van.
