Chinglish sends Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Mercedes and others snaking to China

Eighty four vintage cars, Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Mercedes to name a few, are snaking their way from the Netherlands to China.

Due to arrive on August 11th after a 10,874 mile Amsterdam to Beijing drive, the idea was to retrace part of the historic silk road – at today’s gas prices, too!

Marco Polo would roll over in his grave if he knew how much it would cost to feed his camels these days.

One of the sponsors is Chinglish, a web site due to launch this fall that would offer instant email translations between English and Mandarin.

I, for one, will look forward to this.

How fun to be able to communicate with one fifth of the world’s population, if they are online, without having to study Chinese anymore.

The world is getting smaller. Accurate translation tools can aid in that process.

I wonder, will/can businesses really rely on this tool.

Time will tell.

Translation? I just hope that the translation would be more accurate and would suit the needs of people.
