I'm not quite sure why the general public cares about Chinese human rights more than Chinese-Americans. Many Chinese-Americans I know are quite concerned. Perhaps C-A are convinced that the growing economy in China will solve things in the long run?
One way to help the Chinese is through the "Free China 2008" campaign. The goal is to have the millions of foreign visitors wear a symbol to support the victims. Check it out at www.freechina2008.org
