Chinese Twist on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves
China has its own twist on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves.
They can be seen at the world's largest lotus ecological theme park.
They aren't mining for gold while Snow White does the chores; they work to save lives.
Snow White isn't dimunitive, cute or even white for that matter. Not even female for that matter. The leader of the pact, Kang Jinhua, is tall enough to look Yao Ming in the eye and he negotiates larger salaries for his team of dwarves and finds jobs for those who might not get them otherwise.
There aren't seven dwarves, just three. They are about 1.3 meters (4'3") tall, Kang is 2.25 (7'5").
Come to think of it, they are nothing like Snow White and her seven except that maybe they plan to entertain as well as work as security guards. Snow White, at least not the original, is pretty entertaining. The original is just plain scary.
But, then again, when China gets a hold of something, it's not often it's much like the original anyway, now is it? Or is it?
