Chinese Spend Money on Traveling

"What you going to do with all that money you are making now, Wang?" asked Li, holding a map.

"I'm gonna see the sights, get out and about. I'm gonna travel," Wang replied as he put his new $400 camera into the shopping cart.

Chinese were asked, 3,000 of them, what they are planning to do with their rapid income growth.

#1 – Travel.

More than 50% of them want to see the world, or at least whatever

else China has to offer, making China #1 in this aspect.

In the past year, 75% of Chinese have traveled at least once. 50% have made a trip 2-3 times and one in six have seen the sights 4-5 times.

The places of choice –

1. natural landscapes – 33%

2. big cities were next –

Nearly one in five of the 3,000 went to Shanghai last year.
