Chinese Labor Unions Take on Kodak and Dell
The All China Federation of Trade Unions successfully organized a bus load of new union branches after having successfully done so against Wal-Mart, Inc. outlets in July.
Next on the ACFTU list is Eastman Kodak Co. and Dell, Inc.
ACFTU targets major foreign companies, especially those thought to be anti-union, says Guo Wencai, the director of ACFTU’s grassroots organizing.
Eastman Kodak Co. and Dell, Inc. are considered to be anti-union. Well, so would any other company for that matter. Is there a company that is pro-union?
The Chinese government permits the ACFTU to operate whereas the government usually does not allow independent labor organizations.
Wal-Mart Inc. took a beating. Is there any hope that the likes of Dell or Kodak could fair any better?
I hate unions in the US. I am sure I will hate them in China, too.
What do you think?

Yes, I hate labour unions too. Those evil bastards try to ensure workers reasonable salaries, reasonable work hours, reasonable social security, safe work places, all that kind of stuff! Horrible! Companies can not be profitable or be any good in any way if their workers rights are ensured by group pressure and companies work ethically in this way! Look at Europe! No succesful company ever has come out of Europe because there unions and belonging to union among workers is much higher than in USA and China. Or Finland, no succesful company can ever come out of country where majority of workers are part of unions.
(So care, to explain with more words, why do you hate unions in USA and sure you will hate them in China?)
