Chinese Divided on “Big Brother, Big Sister” Program

It sounds like the Big Brother program in the United States.

A website in China 52.marry.cn is trying to pair up subsitute parents for children whose parents's are divorced or widowed.

Some 80% of single fathers think it's a good idea while 56% of single mothers think so. The control group of 100 is hardly representative.

Still…lawyers aren't so eager to agree, nor are psychologists.big.brother.jpg

Indeed, nothing is better than a child's real parents. But, what about when that's not possible?

Families in Shanghai are about to learn.

Do you think a substitute parent can work?
