China has more than 111 million Internet users.

There is an estimated 700,000 Chinese websites, says www.allheadlinenews.com

Each year about 50 million spam messages are sent/received.

One company in the southern city of Shenzhen, across the river from Hong Kong, sent one spam email too many.

Some 60% of all email in China is considered junk….

The Guangdong Provincial Administration of Communication said the Shenzhen company will be fined $630 for sending a ‘vast’ amount of junk email since January.

The reason for the fine – to send a message to other spammers.

Yea! And if other companies don’t listen, the companies will have to pony up the price for an excessive speeding ticket, too.

Is $630 abt. 5000RMB enough to stop them?

What do you think?
