Chinese Billionaire Group Wants to Buy The Entire Country of Japan
There's a Chinese Billionaire Group That is Making an Offer to Buy Japan.
I couldn't believe this when I wrote it yesterday. And, I am still trying to get my mind wrapped around the idea.
It's true, that when someone can't do it themselves, they will try to buy the know how from somewhere else. Chinese are no exception. Think Lenovo and IBM.
But, a whole country?
The group thinks they can buy the whole country?
What's up with that?
A billion dollars is a lot of money. The combined resources of 50 billionaires is an awful lot of money.
But, it's not enough to buy all of Japan. I doubt they could buy a small downtown block of Tokyo or a city, make that town in the countryside of Japan.
There's a town in Texas that was up for sale not long ago for a few million. Maybe China should go shopping there. Can you spell o-i-l?
I understand Luxemburg is for sale.
