Probably true that many westerners are overweight and look no good because of it. But China just like elsewhere have their fair share of the ugly, beautiful and in between. Westerners probably think a lot of Asians are pretty because they are generally a lot smaller than their overweight women and no lack of exposure to many in their movies and TV series. They find Lucy Liu attractive?? There are certainly many super sexy western women – the difficulty we Chinese woman have is lack of curves in comparison. We might appear pretty but the western girls are usually seen as more desireable because they have a shape.

All I can really say about this, and some of the comments I've read...is that beauty is truly something few people seem to know at all. The only real beauties I've ever seen in this world were not plastered on a magazine, nor were they the sort that people stopped and bought drinks for. No, the real beauties I've met were girls with wide eyes and strong hearts, who had minds that could rip into the bull of the universe. That's hotter to me than anything to do with their eye color, or shape, or how long their blasted nose is...

Just so you know, I myself, am not anything most people would call 'beautiful.' I have natural red hair, a wider nose, and pale skin. Gasp, I'm not blonde, tan and starving!

...beauty is as strange as the person who thinks of it.

1. Calling other Asian Countries (i.e. Japan and Korea) 'plastic surgery freaks' just prove they admit those other Asian girls are prettier.
2. China is economically advancing, and so is their plastic surgery facilities; China will soon become the biggest plastic surgery nation ironically.
3. Chinese people are beautiful, but the moment they diss other ethnicities and races, they are filth & racist; their reputation is at an edge.
4. Chinese people are cool, but once they are patriotic, they have the tendancy to insult other ethnicities and races which I despise; patriotism is not to degrade others, that is stupidity.
5. There are MUCH hotter Chinese Girls than that - FACT.

It is a pity that people should so generalise, especially as to a concept so fleetingly nebulous as "beauty".
