Cinema China is divided into three parts: Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan…just don't tell mainland Chinese that.
Kung fu action movies, musicals and art house movies are the three main genres.
A-List actress Maggie Cheung is the main draw at the festival.
Chollywood is gaining appeal throughout the world thanks to its beautiful starlets.
And Maggie Cheung's shining star can hold its own against the likes of Zhang Ziyi and Gong Li.
