China’s Aid for Poor Students Increased

Submitted by Bill Belew on Monday, 2 July 2007No Comment

There are four ways that China helps out its poor students complete their studies.

1.  offering scholarships

2.  preferential loans

3.  subsidies

4.  work opportunities.

The current budget of 9.5 billion yuan ($1.25 billion) will be increased to 15.4 billion.

But that amount pales to plans to increase the fund by 500% to 50 billion yuan in hopes of helping out 20 million poor students.

China is rolling in the dough. Why shouldn't everyone benefit.

Now is the time to see if the communists can indeed share so that opportunities can be equal for everyone…

from the peasant child to the kids of the fat cat real estate moguls.

And if Beijing can't….they can point fingers at the capitalist countries who can do no better.

It's a good thing that more Chinese will have the opportunity to be educated.
