China is opposed to the United States Giving the Gold Congressional Medal to the Dalai Lama.

China is resolutely opposed.

China also firmly opposes any country or any person using the issue of the Dalai Lama to interfere with China's internal affairs says its Foregin Ministry.

The White House plans to award the Dalai Lama with the Congressional gold medal on Oct. 17th.

The foreign ministry says it serves to the mutual interests of a long-term

relationship between China and relevant country," if the "relevant country could stick to the correct position on Tibet issue and do not use this issue to interfere with China's internal affairs."

Do you think giving the Dalai Lama an award is interfering with China internal affairs?

If so, how so?
