China Gamer NetEase Reports Profits are Up 91%

Submitted by Bill Belew on Sunday, 21 May 2006No Comment

Recently I wrote that there were three classes of Internet Users in China.

I read a report today that gives fuel for the reason of why the male internet cafe bums have their own group.

NetEase, China’s second largest online-game provider, reported dead bodies and defeated aliens are up 91%.

Not only are sales up, but subscriptions are up (72%) as well…and will continue to go up as China’s online Internet usage continues to grow.

Up is relative, of course. Beijing’s NetEase income was $36.7 million. I wish one of my relatives had that much money.

What can be done online in China? More and more of it is going to be done for a long time.

What kind of business are you going to do online in China?
