China cares about its elderly
My 70-year old father-in-law did handstand pushups every morning for 6 months while he was here visiting us this year.
I think China ought to have recommendations for 50 something fat guys. The old people, all 144 million over 60, in China seem to be doing fine.
Still china wants its old people – 86 million of which live in the rural countryside to know that,![]()
"Facing the growing challenge of the ageing population, the Chinese government will adopt more effective strategies to promote the undertakings for the aged in coordination with economic and social development, in order to enable senior citizens to share the fruits of economic and social development."
Uh, and what does that mean?
No details.
But, it is obvious when you talk to any Chinese person, the feelings they have for their parents and grand-parents is extremely strong, difficult-to-understand strong. Nevertheless, it is real and to be respected.
The government, at least in words, cares about the elderly, too.
What do you think?
