It is the first time that China has expressed interest in the Boeing’s new 787’s competition.![]()
Additionally, China dug into its deep pockets and signed a letter of intent to buy 500 "Co-Co" triple axle locomotives. Is that a Co-Co Loco? Sorry.
That deal is worth an estimated $1.5 billion.
China’s Guangdong Nuclear Power Plant signed a deal with the French National Energy Grooup (EDF) on nuclear power production, plant construction and project development.
The China Datang Corporation signed a similar agreement.

It appears that China is becoming more and more of a shopper instead of just a factory. That can be good news all around.
At least France thinks so, for now.
What do you think?
