China Approves 10,000+ Tech Import Contract

China approved 10,538 technology import contracts in 2006.

The total contract value was $22.02 billion…15.6% more than 2005.

European Union was the largest source of tech imports – 2,597 contracts worth $8.66 billion.

Japan was second with $5.24 billion in contracts.

The U.S. was third with 4.23 billion in contracts.

Most contracts went to electronics, communications equipment manufacturing and railway transportation.

I don't suppose it mattered to Europe, Japan or the U.S….as long as the contracts kept coming.

What do you think?
