Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 7 December 2006No Comment

When visitors fly to China now, they must fly through Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou. Only those three cities offer visa-on-arrival service.

After that, you can head out whereever.

As part of China's 11th five year plan through 2010, a fourth gateway airport has been announced.kunming.jpg

Visitors from Southeast Asia, South Asia and Europe will be able to fly into Kunming, the capital of Yunan Province.

The cost for the airport – 23 billion yuan (#2.94 billion).

That cost will be covered in visa fees at the airport.

More and more people are finding China to be a desirable tourist destination. Kunming will be happy to let them in. It's good for their economy.
