Balance of Nature in China

Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 19 June 2008No Comment

It is not always the foolish humans that drive animals out of their natural habitats.

Mother Nature (if you believe that sort of thing) can do it, too. I have a different take on the whole Mother Nature term that is beyond the scope of this post.

A May 12th earthquake in the mountains of Sichuan Province devastated some of the natural habitats of the wolves that live in that same region. Since the earthquake only about 10 wolves have been sighted. The government has dispatched observation teams. Search teams? How about they dress a bunch of little girls up in red hoods and send them to grandmas in the area? That should bring the wolves out.

One researcher said, “The wild animals live in the remote and deep mountainous area, and are scared after the earthquake, so they go out of the deep mountains.”

Question – in the whole balance of nature scenario, shouldn’t this earthquake sends wolves packing thing be considered a good thing overall?

I think so.

What do you think?
