94 Days to Run 5000Km of the Great Wall of China
Two South African endurance athletes became the first to run/walk/climb the entire length of the Great Wall of China.
It took the two middle-aged men 94 days to cover the 5,000 km (3,100 miles).
The exact measurement is still being verified. That’s more than 50km (30+ miles) a day, or a bit more than a full-marathon a day.
The two raised money for the Miles for Smiles campaign.
Their mission – “give the gift of a smile to children born without one”.
It was also to to show South African children, that “everyone can do anything if they put their mind to it.”
Among other things, I once ran 100 miles in under 24 hours….to see if I could do what I put my mind to.
What would you like to put your mind to doing?
