80% Happy with Urban Homes

Submitted by Bill Belew on Monday, 16 April 2007No Comment

So much for the house in the suburbs myth.

80% of urban Chinese in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Tianjin, Shenyang, Qingdao and Qinhuangdao say they are satisfied with their lives in the city AND nearly half (46%) say their standard of living has gone way up within the last six months.

The happiest are the residents who live on coastal cities – Qingdao, Qinhuangdao and Shanghai.

Seven in ten expect things to improve much more in the next six months.

The biggest worry…money…especially those who make less than 1500 yuan a month.

Give me a house in the city and enough money to live there and I might be happy, too.

Uh…never mind. I prefer the 'burbs.'

Where do you want to live?
