7 Reasons Why China Is Top Pick for Investors

When investors from various industries in European, American and Asian firms were asked where they want to put their money….almost half or 48% said China was one of their top three preferred business locations.

That number is up 7% from 2006.

6 reasons were cited:

1. low labor costs

2. more competitive rates

3. higher productivity

4. infrastructure

5. quality of research and development

6. workforce education

7. political stability

The second most popular choice for investment….the United States – 33%.

India was number three at 26%, up from 11% just three years ago.

The other half of the 'BRIC' nations, Brazil and Russia did not fair well in the survey.

Russias biggest drawback are the internal political uncertainties.

For Brazil – "considerable efforts by the government to secure macroeconomic stability have failed to convince corporate decision-makers."
