15,000 people, 10 Tons of Lobster, 500 Cooks
We all know that there are a lot of Chinese people
There are a very LOT of Chinese people.
And whenever a bunch of them decide to get together, well, there are a indeed bunch who will show up.
Somewhere around 15,000 people got together in Xuyi County, East China Jiangsu Province to scarf down nearly 10 tons of lobster cooked up by about 500 cooks.
I love lobster, but to be honest, it usually isn't worth the fight. Same with crab.
But, it has been my experience that the more a Chinese fights his/her food, the more they enjoy it.
Am I wrong? Perhaps some Chinese readers will weigh in.
Westerners like white meat on chicken and the center cuts of meat. Chinese like to pick meat off of bones and wrestle with sea creatures. No?
I may be wrong, but these 15,000 people might be on my side.
