The average Chinese netizen spends 137.8 minutes online each day according to the 2006 Report on Netizen's Internet Usage in Chinese Cities.

Thirty six cities were surveyed.

In 2001, just 11% of the population went online. 38% go online now.

The number of Internet users now is 5 times that of users in 01.

In 02, the average time on line was 88.5 minutes, about two thirds of what it is today.

The majority of Chinese online are 25-45, have at least three years of college and an income of 2000 yuan or more a month.

Only TV and newspapers are more popular media outlets….for now.

How much time to you spend online each day?
