Why Barak Obama’s Infomercial Will Cause Him to Lose The Presidential Election

Submitted by Bill Belew on Wednesday, 29 October 2008No Comment

obamainfomercial.jpgBarak Obama’s Infomercial is bound to cause him to lose the presidential election. If it doesn’t, it should.

If the 39 Barak Obama Half Truths by Terry Anderson aren’t convincing then this ought to be.

Good grief!

What an in-your-face approach to the election.

Has he never heard the phrase “If it ain’t broken don’t fix it?” How many polls is he leading in?

Reminds me a ball team trying to run up the score, because they can.

What a waste of money!

How many10s of millions is he going to spend for 30 minutes on 7 networks? CBS, NBC, Fox, MSNBC, BET, TVOne, Univision.

What’s he have so much money left over he can’t figure out how to spend it?

Not since Ross Perot has a person tried so hard, too hard to SELL himself.

McCain is not that much better a choice, but to be sure, Obama just bought himself out of any possibility of a vote from the Belew camp.

If Obama does pull it out in spite of these shenanigans, it’s because he has more money, NOT because he’s the better choice.

$4 million. Not an inconsequential amount of money, but in the grand scheme of political spending it wasn’t that much. I’m afraid it doesn’t rank very high on the shenanigan scale…especially since selling oneself is a primary job of every politician, regardless of party.

And it sounds like you weren’t exactly the target audience – the undecided voters who aren’t yet sure they know what a black president would be like.

And, if you were on the verge of becoming president, had money in the bank, and were facing the monumental task of breaking the color barrier in the White House, wouldn’t you try to put yourself in as secure a position as possible? Of course you would. There’s plenty of arguments to be had on whether the content of the infomercial was good, or whether it was the best way to get the message out, or whatever…but surely the intent isn’t hard to understand.

I don’t know where you’ve been the last month, but HELLO, the economy is broke, and does need to be fixed.
