Transgendered man, Thomas Beatie, Pregnant Again!
In April a fellow Asian blogger wrote Only In America Will A Pregnant Transgendered Man Thomas Beatie Be Treated With Respect.
My thoughts were more like how students would have the dickens confused out of them when I wrote Thomas Beatie – My Mom’s My Dad.
Well, Thomas Beatie is and I wonder out loud here, what kinds of shenanigans will my 9-month old have to face 20 years from now. I know better than to worry about the future, and I don’t.
The Good Book says to take no thought for tomorrow for each day has enough trouble of its own.
Abe Lincoln said, “the best part about the future is that it only comes one day at a time.”
Perhaps he had days and events like this in mind when he said that.
Treated with respect? Only in America.
I can respect the person, not sure what sex s/he is.
But, I find that in a country where people are free to do anything, some will do anything.
Thomas Beatie is a case in point.
Just because you can does NOT always mean you should.
