Top Three Trading Partners for Los Angeles/Long Beach

Submitted by Bill Belew on Wednesday, 2 May 2007No Comment

One country is pulling away as the top trading partner for the two U.S. ports, Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Japan is number two and South Korea is number three.

The twin ports are the fifth largest globally by container activity handling as mandy as 17.2 million containers this year…thanks in large part to….China.

Despite a slow down in the overall United States' economy….LA and Long Beach expect to see and increase of 13.9% in activity to $375.1 billion dollars, first in the United States.

And as long as China's economy continues to buzz and Japan's keeps coming back to life…the twin ports can surely expect more of the same.

I admit…I knew Long Beach was a port city…but I didn't know Los Angeles was.

Learn somethng new everyday.
