India vs England, 1st Test, Chennai, Day 2
In the 1st test between India and England . England were all out for 316 after Captain Kevin Pieterson won the toss and batted first at the M A chidambaram stadium in Chennai .. In reply India were reeling at 156 for 6 at the end of day 2 . India Captain M S Dhoni on 24 and Harbhajan Singh on 13 were at the crease not out .
Earlier Englands Andrew Strauss scored a century and made 123, Matt prior was out at 53. Indian Spinners Harbhajan and Amit Misra took 3 wickets each.
India made a disastrous start and at one stage were 37 for 3. England debutant Swann took 2 indian wickets in his very first over and created a record. Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman stabilised the innings and took the score to 98. Indian batting collapse has tilted the match in favour of England on day 2 .
