Doing business in Asia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Russia.

There are more than 700 journalists from 54 countries and 374 organizations covering China as of the end of 2007.

Last year alone the number grew by 111 journalists and 41 foreign news agencies.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) says China has:

1. honored its promise made during its bid for the Olympic Games

2. implemented the Regulations on Reporting Activities in China by Foreign Journalists during the Beijing Olympic Games and the Preparatory Period

3. strengthened institutional mechanisms for facilitating foreign journalists coverage.

4. continuously improved news services

5. properly handled problems encountered by foreign journalists

I wonder if foreign journalists in China would agree.
