Lenovo Will Leave Olympic Partnership After Beijing Games

by admin on December 6th, 2007

Lenovo will not renew Olympic pPartnership after the 2008 Beijing Games.

Since 2004, Lenovo Group has been a partner with the IOC. The deal included sponsorship of both the 2006 Turin Winter Games and the 2008 Beijing Summer Games.

Lenovo made its mark at the 2006 Turin Winter Games, during which it offered:

1. 5,000 computers,

2. more than 600 notebook PCs,

3. 400 servers

4. 1,600 printers.2008.games.beijing.jpg

For the upcoming Beijing Games, Lenovo will provide:

1. 20,000 computing devices, including desktops, laptops, computer servers and display monitors,

2. more than 500 engineers

Lenovo thinks it has achieved its goal of becoming a globally recognized brand and not just a local one.

What do you think? Has it?

In the future, Lenovo says it will focus on targeted markets, NBA, Formula One and so on.
