Greg Mortenson - Being Passionate Makes a Difference in Asia

by admin on December 21st, 2007

A friend of mine introduced me to a book written by Greg Mortenson with David Oliver Relin.

The book - "Three Cups of Tea : One Man’s Mission to Fight Terrorism and Build Nations … One School at a Time."

Mortenson was a homeless 'climbing bum.' After a failed K2 climbing experience he climbed a different mountaint to become the director of the Central Asia Institute.

The organization has built 55 schools serving Pakistan and Afghanistan's poorest communities.

The schools give hope to tens of thousands of children.

On the book jacket - 'living proof that one passionate dedicated person truly can change the world.'

My friend asked her family over dinner, 'what kind of world would it be if everyonegreg.mortenson.jpg lived like that?'

I think she is asking me, too. And now I am asking you.

"What is God calling you to be passionately dedicated about?"
