China’s 6 Big Money Makers - SOE Profits Jump 30% in 2007
China's State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) will see annual profits soar some 30% in 2007.
SOEs under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) will see aggregate profits of $132.4 billion for the whole of 2007.
Profits are up 31.7% for the first 11 months, and Christmas is on its way.
Aggregate sales were Y8.7 trillion ($1.2 trillion).
Twenty one enterprises had sales of more than Y100 billion.
Of the 152 SOEs under central administration, 139 had increased profits. 18 of them made more than Y10 billion.

1. Shipbuilding,
2. automotive,
3. shipping
4. petroleum,
5. power generation
6. telecommunications sectors
