
China's Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MLSS) said that more than 11 million people had found jobs in the first 11 month of this year
MLSS, said that the unemployment rate in urban areas stands at 4%, down 0.1% from last year.
Retirement pensions increased from 714 yuan ($97) per month three years ago to 963 yuan in 2007, up 26 percent.
Raises for the next three years are expected to continue.
More than 50 million people joined the basic medical insurance program this year as part of a pilot program carried out in 79 cities - unemployed urbanites, including students and children.
Migrant workers who joined the work injury insurance and medical insurance increased 12.6 million and 6.86 million, respectively by the end of last month.
So far this year the numbers are 379.9 million and 305.3 million.
