IT goods coming out of South Korea...yeah, South Korea does information technology, too...hit an all-time high last month of $12.63 billion, says the South Korean Ministry of Information and Communication.
Exports were up 21.5% in October.
Imports of IT goods were up 22.3%.
South Korea's IT trade surplus was $6.32 billion.
Gee, I wish I could make that kind of money.
What's up with the increase?
Korea has a three day fall harvest holiday called "Chuseok." Last year the holiday fell in September so October had three more days to work with...hardly enough to attribute such a high increase.
The real reason....strong demand for mobile phones in overseas markets.
