Japanese High-tech investment sought after by Russia
Russia's deputy prime minister wants Japanese companies to invest in the country's high-tech sector.
Yeah…Russia would want that.
Good luck, BTWt.
The deputy PM says Moscow is pursuing a consistent economic policy and that the macroeconomy is stable.
And, even Russia is considering legislation to specify strategic economic areas to protect national interests and to clarify to overseas investors where they can be involved…Moscow can always and usually does change its mind, in its own interests.
The Sakhalin project comes to mind.

I reckon that Japan would very much like to invest in their big bear neighbor.
But what about when the policies change and things turn out well, or not, on the macroeconomy stage and Japanese investment is no longer needed?
Russia doesn't play fair.
They will want for Japanese investment for some time to come.
What do you think?
