Google, Microsoft Expect China’s Talent to Spur Intenet Innovation

by admin on November 28th, 2007

Top execs from Google and Microsoft say Chinese talent and Chinese companies, flush with capital and a huge pool to draw from will be the source of much innovation in the Internet in the future.

"For many Chinese young people and young students, they have a very strong desire for innovation, for being successful, for starting their own businesses," said the vice president of Google Inc. and president of Google Greater China.

Strong investor interests and an educational system that churns out 300,000 new IT grads each year, about 5X that of the U.S. and 2X that of India make for good growth and innovation.

The president of China's biggest IM company, QQ, says "China'sinternet.innovation.jpg Internet and mobile information industries were just getting off the ground, leaving plenty of room for growth in the more traditional Web fields."

Get rich quickly. Not likely, though some will for sure.

Make money over the long haul?

Yup, it'll happen from China.
