South Korea will Get More Chances to Buy Nissan Cars

by BBelew57 on October 9th, 2007

The only cars that Nissan sells in South Korea now are its luxury brand Infinitis.

Nissan Motor Co. announced that it will begin rolling out cars in  bearing its own brand - the Altima sedans, Rogue and Murano SUVs.

Target sales - 10% of South Korea's import market by 2015 or 10,000-12,000 vehicles a year.

Nissan plans four dealerships - 3 in Seoul and 1 in the southern

coastal city of Pusan.

South Korea sold some 40,000 imported autos last year/

The number is about 4% of the nation's passenger vehicle sales.

Only 1,710 of those were Nissan Infinitis.nissan.altima.jpg

Demand for imported vehicles is expected to grow - 100,000-120,000 by 2015.

Nissan wants a piece of that pie.

Toyota and Honda, which lead in import car market sales, and have an edge in fuel-efficiency are not likely to share.

Are you a Nissan fan?
