Singapore Airlines Gets First A380 - “Worth the Wait”

by BBelew57 on October 17th, 2007

The Airbus A380 was nearly two years late.

Singapore Airlines says the passenger jet, the world's largest, was worth the wait.

Of course, nobody does service the way Singapore Airlines does…and very few can afford it as well.

Still - luxury suites with double beds.

Singapore Airlines CEO says, "We are glad that Airbus took the time to make sure that the plane is fully tested and developed before it enters commercial service."

Read…they got the A380 right before unleashing it.

Still Airbus has its work cut out…the biggest problem being production -

13 planes in 2008,airbus.singapore.jpg

25 in 2009,

and 45 in 2010.

When Airbus was asked if they could deliver -

"We have every confidence we can deliver, but what is guaranteed in life?"

That means, NO, they won't be able to deliver.

Two things I wish for … the need to go to Singapore…and the money to buy a ticket on one of these beauties.

A third thing…I can't write here.
