Religion Mentioned in the Communist Party of China (CPC) Consitution for First Time

by BBelew57 on October 22nd, 2007

There is a first time for everything…

t\The Communist Party of China (CPC) has mentioned the R-word (religion) in an amendment to its Constitution for the first time in history.

The CPC is atheistic. Atheism is also a religion but that's another discussion.

The director of the State Administration of Religious Affairs says -

"The Party's secret in handling well China's religious issues lies in its principles and policies.

"Their insertion in the Party Constitution shows the Party is sincere, and capable, of its implementation of policies on the freedom of religious beliefs."

Religion causes problems in the world (it does), but "in China we enjoy peace and quiet because we have the established policies and principles."

That's right.

There are no problems in China..no corruption, no rioting, no injustice, no imbalance, no disparity among the urban and rural.

China has some 16 million Protestant Christians and has printed 42 million Bibles…one for every 30 people. In the U.S., it's more like 30 Bibles for every one person….and corruption, injustice, imbalances, and disparity exist here, too.

What do you think of religion?
