Indian-Born Indra Nooyi is Fortune’s Most Powerful Woman

by BBelew57 on October 2nd, 2007

The 51-year old Chairman and CEO of PepsiCo (PEP), Indian-born Indra Nooyi is Fortune's Most Powerful woman.

PepsiCo generated $35.1 billion in revenues and $6.4 billion in operating profits.

And each share holder also earned $3 last year.

The CEO played a key role in PepsiCo's acquisition of Quaker Foods in 2001 and that has served the company well.

Pepsi International is also performing well (revenues up 14% to $13 billion.indra.nooyi.pepsico.jpg Operating profits up 21% to $1.9 billion.) for Nooyi, who indeed will have an interest in PepsiCo's international performance because she came to USA from another country, no?

Just goes to show, that the best and most powerful are not all American grown, are they?

I tend to think that America may not always have the best, but the best can be done from America.

Or…if you can't dream/do it in/from America, it can't be done.

What do you think?

The other 49.
