BMW Reaches Asian Sales Target a Year Early
BMW wanted to sell 150,000 cars annually in Asia by 2008.
They will reach their goal...a year eraly.
In 2006, BMW sold 126,000 cars in Asia…62,000 in Japan, 30,000 in China.
Sales this year are better.
The company plans to expand its dealership network in Japan to 196 sales outlets and 100 Mini brand outlets.

In China's Shenyang plant, annual production will be increased by 25%.
BMW wants to sell 1.8 million cars annually by 2012….and Asia is key, Japan and China in particular to their aspirations.
